One aspect that truly shines at WaBa Grill Signal Hill is their ability to cater to every taste, making it a popular dining destination among locals. As a food reviewer, I was particularly impressed by the Mixed Taco Trio, where you can customize your tacos with either chicken, ribeye steak, or shrimp, nestled in a corn and flour blend tortilla, alongside tangy sesame slaw and spicy Boom Boom sauce. The vibrant flavors are a testament to the dedication of their kitchen staff.

The atmosphere at WaBa Grill is just as inviting as the food. Many customers have highlighted the friendly service, noting how helpful staff members are when it comes to recommendations. As a newbie, I appreciated this level of care; one visitor even mentioned how Emiliano’s suggestions enhanced their experience, showcasing the personal touch in every interaction.

While the ambiance might be described as "just okay," the food speaks volumes. Reviewers have noted the prompt service and the kitchen's attention to detail, reflected in beautifully cooked dishes. However, there’s room for improvement: some diners have expressed a wish for more generous portion sizes. As one customer mentioned, it can feel like you need to ask for extra meat to feel satisfied; nevertheless, the offering of sauces and the quality of the main ingredients more than make up for it.

For those seeking a satisfying meal in Signal Hill, WaBa Grill certainly does not disappoint. With its diverse menu, excellent customer service, and clean environment, it's no wonder that many consider it the best WaBa Grill in town. First time here so didn't really know what the menu was like. It's basically a teriyaki bowl place. I don't know the difference between the bowls and the plates. Because they both come with meat / rice. I just know the plate comes with a side salad. Are the portions the same? Anyway I got the white rice bowl with chicken with the standard waba sauce. And a order of dumplings. The service was professional. Food came out pretty quick. Everything was good, moist delicious chicken, on perfectly cooked white rice. I did get 1 of each of their sauces to try. They were all spicy. The chili sauce for the wontons was not that hot and was a little sweet, I liked it a lot. My favorite sauce was the Garlic Serrano sauce. Spicy but good. The only thing that bothered me is that they were out of green onion and for me I love a lot of green onion on my teriyaki bowls and sesame seeds. I think they need to keep eye on their stock because from some people green onion is a must. Also the portion sizes was a bit small. I will see if they can add extra meat or something because they didn't really "fill" the bowl with that much rice and it's a small amount of chicken. But they did not mind giving us as much sauce as we wanted, which was cool.

One of the employees, Jessica has helped me a few times and she amazing every time. She prepared my food with care and is very generous with the portions.

I recently placed an ordered for 10 and drove away with the bags of food only to find that when I arrived home all the meats were missing. I have to admit that I was upset when I realized part of my order was missing however when I called the location they immediately apologized for the mistake. When I arrived to pick up the missing food Jessica was again very apologetic and added dumplings on the house for the mistake!
